Toby will talk about the need for Isolation Hospitals and the conditions in them, particurly focussing on the one at Over.

Over Isolation Hospital was opened in April 1903. The need for this facility was prompted by an outbreak of Smallpox in Gloucester City in 1895. Over’s location was ideal and Vineyard Hill was purchased by the Corporation despite some local opposition.
